Service Description: Nurse practitioners providing women in the community who do not have a primary care provider to receive basic healthcare services including:
  • medical history questionaire
  • Well Woman exams, including Pap and breast examiniation
  • prescriptions for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and birth control options
  • notification of any abnormal tests and appropriate referral if required
  • initial prenatal assessments and referrals
    *insertion of intrauterine devices such as Mirena and Nova T
  • ordering of mammograms or provision of number to register for the Ontario Breast Screening Program
