Service Description: Organization providing services and support to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Services include the following programs:
  • Awesome Mondays: weekly sessions providing life skills, training social gatherings and field trips for participants
  • Parent Support Program: information and resource for single parents, includes support group meetings
  • AFO Clothing Bins: light purple bins around Ottawa for collection, donations are distribution to AFO and their clients
  • Housing Navigation Program: provides housing assistance to people with developmental disabilities who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless

Fees: Program - Flat rate of $60 per individual, per day (2018) * Those who are in need of financial support can apply through the organization's Board of Directors.
Application: Send message via Facebook page or email and request an intake appointment * potential volunteers email credentials and resume, police check required to work with participants directly
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: People with developmental disabilities, who are on the Autism Spectrum, with Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD), anxiety disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), learning disabilities, other similar disorders, and non-developmental disabilities
