Service Description: Non-profit organization * directed and run by psychiatric consumer/survivors that provides peer support.

For peers:
  • educational and fun workshops
  • social and recreational events
  • outings
  • support groups
  • volunteer opportunities
  • free meals are organized for the members (once per month)

For friends and family of people experiencing mental health challenges:
  • Family Peer Support: Ongoing weekly drop in family support groups * weekly discussions on various topics such as communication strategies, boundaries, codependency, letting go of control etc. * coffee, snack, sense of community, companionship and support

The Community Transitions Group: A support and social reconnection group that runs on Tuesdays * monthly brainstorm challenges and ideas around transitioning from hospital to community

Fees: Membership - Free for community organizations and individuals who self disclose as living with mental health issues. Includes the use of computers, the library and a lounge area for socializing.

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals 18 years or older having dealt with or dealing with mental health issues. * Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about mental health issues.
