Service Description: Private or non-profit residences that provide long term housing to vulnerable adults * Residents are typically living with a psychiatric, developmental or physical illness and or disability. * The City of Ottawa provides financial assistance for low income residents to subsidize the cost of their board and lodging in a residence.

Furnished rooms (most are shared) * meals and minimal supervision are provided * medication management * housekeeping and personal laundry * referral by individuals, hospitals, shelters, family members * 30 homes provide these services

Application: Visit ottawa.ca/housing to print a copy of the application form or call the intake office to apply. Part 2 of the application form must be completed by a health care professional. For a complete list of domiciliary hostels, visit the website and virtual tours.
