Service Description: National organization that works with youth :
  • promote the peaceful resolution of personal, community, and societal conflicts;
  • promote the concepts of non-violence, peer mediation and conflict resolution;
  • establish a Canadian network of peer mediators and youth peace-makers;
  • highlight and affirm the work of peace-makers of all ages, especially that of young Canadians.

Assists youth in exploring the connection between conflict resolution and violence prevention. * Offers training workshops that provide youth with the skills and knowledge to make a real difference in their communities.

Offer youth to youth training in the following areas: conflict resolution * peer helping * youth negotiation * mediation * facilitation * peace circles * cross cultural conflict resolution * youth taking action and Train-the-Trainer

The primary activities undertaken are: training * facilitation * public education and research * workshops and conferences * youth taking action plans * resources * networking

Fees: Service - training for schools, community groups and youth groups are offered at reduced charitable rates
