Service Description: Provides low income families with a vehicle to assist them in meeting their responsibilities as parents and employees, and to enhance their capacity for self-sufficiency.
  • In partnership with one local high school, provides used vehicles free to families of the community with limited financial means
  • Assists the school in finding vehicle donors and provides a tax receipt to the donor according to the value of the vehicle
  • Provides a professional assessment of reconditioning costs of the vehicles and, when accepted into the program, undertakes repairs (Automotive classes) to meet provincial safety standards
  • Receives applications for the Family Mobility Program and selects the most suitable families to receive vehicles according to established criteria (family revenue, transportation needs, ability and affordability to operate a vehicle, etc.). Individual and corporate sponsors have helped defray the costs of reconditioning and certification of vehicles
