Service Description: Services for stroke survivors, their families and caregivers

Monthly peer support meetings for Stroke Survivors/Care partners and anyone who has been affected by stroke, which includes lunch, a guest speaker or entertainer * Peer to Peer Visitation program in medical/professional establishments * trains volunteers to be a Peer Support point person * monthly drop-in * navigation of programs and services for post-stroke individuals * help in finding appropriate medical, rehabilitation, and recreational resources.

Living with Stroke program: Free 6 week course for those who have been affected by Stroke. Taught by Stroke Survivors and Carepartners. Highly interactive program. Call for upcoming dates.

Meeting: Monthly meetings: second Thursday of the month 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Mar-Jun, Sep-Dec at Our Lady of Fatima Church Hall, 153 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa * wheelchair accessible * free parking Monthly social supper meeting: First Wednesday of every month at Chances R Restaurant, 1365 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean, ON K2G 1V7 * for survivors, care partners or family members who have been affected by stroke Education series: Living with Stroke
Fees: Membership - $5 for lunch served at the monthly meeting * Service - may be some fees for special events
