Service Description: Literacy and Basic Skills

Literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills * helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education and greater independence * support in clarifying upgrading goals and developing a training plan to achieve them

Also academic upgrading that helps individuals develop the necessary skills for entry into post-secondary education, apprenticeship training or employment

Courses are designed to meet each individual's learning needs and goals. Students receive an individualized assessment and work with their teacher to develop a training plan. Students work at their own pace.

Fees: Service - $20 consumable fee * None - for instruction
Application: Call to arrange interview
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Ontario residents 19 years and older, with reading, writing and math skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario Curriculum * must have facility in English
Age: 19.00 years and older
