Service Description: An early prevention and intervention program for children prenatal to transition to school. This home visiting program is designed to improve the well-being and potential of children and their families.

Available to help during pregnancies, after the baby is born and at any time as the child grows up to the age of 6 years.

After the birth of the baby, a Public Health Nurse will call to answer any questions the client may have. She may also arrange a time to visit the client and baby at home as needed.

Public Health Nurses and Family Visitors may continue to visit as the child grows to provide information, support and teaching. The program also offers counselling, referrals to community resources; and ongoing parenting guidance related to health issues such as postpartum depression, breastfeeding, nutrition and child development.
