Service Description: Dedicated to providing options that will help those who live alone, seniors, the handicapped, surgery recovery patients and individuals confronted with mobility challenges to remain independent and in their own homes

The "Smart Link" system: A small transmitter is worn at all times and can be activated in case of emergency to send an alarm to the Help Center * a trained Help Advisor answers and talks with the client over the Smart Link's two way voice system * this personal emergency response service can be used by anyone who lives alone or is alone some of the time * service is specialized and includes follow up to ensure that help has arrived * can also be equipped with other sensors that increase safety and independence

Cookstop: A stand alone device that prevents fires caused by unattended cooking * a small control is mounted over the stove and plugged in to the stove's electrical outlet along with the stove * it senses when the stove is on and will shut the stove off if it senses no movement in the kitchen for too long

MedReady: Medication dispenser * can be loaded with up to one month's worth of medication * it can dispense the medication up to four times a day * can be locked, and access is only given to medication that should be taken

Fees: Service - Lease or purchase of equipment * one time installation cost of $50 + HST in the Ottawa area * free activation, monthly monitoring fee - varies according to area and options chosen
