Service Description: Provides financial and employment assistance to people in temporary financial need. Ontario Works can help pay for basic needs such as food, housing costs, and prescription drugs. People receiving assistance through Ontario Works take part in employment activities which help them prepare for and find employment. The program is delivered through four Social Support Centres:
  • Central - 370 Catherine St, 2nd Flr, Ottawa, ON K1R 5T5
  • East - Beacon Hill Shopping Center, 2339 Ogilvie Rd, Ottawa, ON K1J 8M6
  • South - 2020 Walkley Rd, Ottawa, ON K1G 6S6
  • West - 100 Constellation Dr, 2nd Flr, Ottawa, ON K2G 6J8

Application: There are two parts to the application, an online or telephone application followed by an intake appointment at one of our Social Support Centres, to find the nearest one, click here.
