Service Description: Nonprofit national organization that addresses the issue of impoverished seniors in Canada by uniting Seniors in Need with concerned Canadians who want to help * online registry that connects pre-qualified seniors who need help from supportive donors in their own community

Seniors in need are identified by nonprofit organizations in their community and submitted on the registry * posts the request for support on their website and link a senior in need with a donor via the agency that made the submission * sponsors can be non-profits and home care/healthcare providers

No receipts are issued for income tax purposes

Application: Only a registered Sponsor can submit a senior in need request, to fill out a Sponsor Registration form, click here. To locate a sponsor in a given region, click here.

When filing a senior in need request, describe the situation and specify how donors can help without identifying the individual in any way. * Submissions will be listed on the website for 90 days unless the sponsor advises that the senior has received the help they need.

Interested donors can search through requests in the to donate section, once the donor identifies a senior they wish to help, they can contact the sponsor using links provided to arrange the donation. * Donations may include items like wheelchairs or financial assistance.
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Candidates must be at least 65 years of age and lack the financial resources to provide the necessities of daily living * sponsors must be nonprofit organizations.
