Function Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and the Drug Distribution Coordinator, the incumbent will contribute to the safe and accurate dispensing of medications from the Pharmacy Department to patient care areas in a timely and courteous manner. The incumbent will also perform additional duties to provide support the operation of the Pharmacy Department.The Pharmacy Aide will function according to the policies, procedures and standards of Bruyère Continuing Care.

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma
  • College diploma in a Pharmacy Assistant program or equivalent
  • Basic medical terminology
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages, spoken and written
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in a hospital setting or in a similar environment

Key Competencies
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate with the members of the Pharmacy and Nursing teams
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks

Salary:  $20.633 to $24.639 / hour

Terms of Employment:  Casual
