Service Description: Emergency room care * doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness

If you are not experiencing a medical emergency, contact your primary care provider * If unable to reach your primary care provider, or you do not have one, call the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) at 1-844-727-6404 * 24/7 health care from a doctor, nurse practitioner, and/or paramedic is available through RC VTAC

Fees: None, with valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card (ancillary fees may apply for prescribed equipment or medication) * Fees will apply for out of province clients
Application: No referral required * call or walk in
Eligibility / Target Population: People who need medical care for serious illnesses and injuries
