Service Description: Municipal Departments are responsible for the following:

Administration Department: policies * by-laws * administrative procedures * the preparation of municipal council agendas and minutes * official correspondence * human resources * municipal elections along with the issuance of marriage licenses * lottery licenses * burial permits * death and birth registrations

Finance Department: annual budgets * the municipal debt * banking arrangements * tax collection * water and sewer billings * long and short term investments and loans

Recreation Department: management of municipal recreational facilities such as parks * arenas * community centres * and the promotion of recreational programs, for obtaining available recreational grants as well as the maintenance of municipal and community buildings

Infrastructure and Planning Department: road maintenance * engineering * environment (including garbage and recycling collections) * waterworks * sanitary sewers and municipal drains * monitors the land use planning and development while ensuring quality of life for its residents with respect to harmonization of activities, spaces and landscapes

Construction Department: ensures compliance of the Ontario Building Code and the municipal by-laws relating to all construction projects

Daycare: service for toddlers * preschoolers * school aged children

Protective Services Department (By-Law Services): protecting health * safety * peace within the community by enforcing municipal by-laws

Fire department: protects lives * properties * and environment of residents

Library: services * books * videos * musical cassettes * and others in both official languages
