Non-profit organization aims to heighten awareness about the dangers of impaired driving, offer support services to victims, and save lives its goal is to stop impaired driving * Provides victim support and awareness presentations * Chapters are run by volunteers and include not only mothers, but fathers, friends, business professionals, experts in the drunk driving field and concerned citizens who want to make a difference in the fight against impaired driving
Victim services include:
- Grief and bereavement support
- Court accompaniment and support during the criminal trial process
- Helping victims know their rights under the law
- Referrals
- Free brochures
- Emotional support
- Memorial Wall: Victims or their families may submit a photo to MADD Canada to have it placed on the memorial wall at the National Office.
- Court monitoring: individuals attend court and keep track of impaired charges and how they are handled.
- Victim service online training
- Advocating for victim rights under the law
